Welcome to the information authority

The information authority has been established as an independent body to set and regulate data and collection standards for all organisations involved in further education and training in England.

Our creation forms an important part of Government reforms to simplify and improve the way information is collected and shared and to reduce the burden of data demands placed upon providers.

feconnectThe information authority has launched its online community site, feconnect. This site is hosting the discussions for changes to the Individualised Learner Record for 2009/10 as well as being a space for anyone involved in FE system data to talk to one another.

We are also hoping to use the site to consult on various pieces of work that the information authority will be working on in the future.
